Thomas is an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the University of Pennsylvania and an Attending Physician at the Michael Crescenz VA Medical Center. 

I lived in New York City until I was 10-years-old and then moved to the Palo Alto, California. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Stanford University and my MD and PhD degrees from the joint UCLA-Caltech Medical Scientist Training program. As a graduate student, I trained with Nobel Laureate David Baltimore studying gene regulation. I returned to Stanford University for Dermatology residency and performed a postdoctoral fellowship with Seung Kim (Howard Hughes Medical Institute at Stanford University) studying developmental biology.
